Welcome
This website holds my Unit Plan for teaching William Shakespeare's Julius Caesar to 12th grade high school students.
This unit will not only implement the literary context of the play, but also the historical context. Through an array of activities, students will learn about the historical backdrop that drives Shakespeare's infamous play. |
Meet The (Almost) Teacher
My name is Mitchell Whaley and I am studying to become a High School teacher. While my passion is undoubtedly in English Literature, I also have a great appreciation for History and plan to also pursue teaching it as well.
I received my initial Bachelors Degree in English Lit from The University of North Carolina-Wilmington in 2011 and am currently completing the remaining requirements for teacher licensure for the state of North Carolina.
I'm a kid at heart and I absolutely love anything to do with Disney. I see no reason not to embrace your fun side and let it drive you to live a life that you enjoy. I have all intentions on making my classroom an enjoyable place for my students. Structure complimented by fun, that's my philosophy for a successful classroom and learning environment.
In addition to reading anything I can get my hands on, I enjoy traveling as much as possible. I haven't been everywhere, but it's on my list.
